A. Not really . There are many conventions that have developed over the years as marketers have figured out what works and what doesn’t. However, what “works” varies based upon the given market, demographic, and other factors.
Q. What does it take to be a good copywriter?
A. The most important quality is to be a student of human nature… to be keenly aware of your prospects hopes, fears, and dreams… and the ability to gently persuade them to take the desired action.
Q. Aren’t copywriters just professional manipulators?
A. No way! While this may be true of some writers, the vast majority of writers steer clear of questionable tactics. We consider it our duty to persuade people to take an action that is in their best interest… to do what they would do if they had all the facts.
